A U.S. hygiene license takes three exams. Your prep is built around all of them, from anatomy to scaling to Indiana law.
The 350-question national written board — scientific basis, periodontology, radiology, instrumentation, community health, plus 12–15 case studies across pediatric, geriatric and medically compromised patients.
Discipline-based + case-based content
The hands-on board: calculus detection, subgingival scaling, pocket-depth measurement and tissue management on the SPTCE, plus the CSCE computer simulation for diagnosis, emergencies and pharmacology.
Lab + manikin practice every week
Indiana's dental statutes (Title 828 IAC), administrative rules, infection-control standards and hazardous-waste handling — an open-book take-home exam we'll walk through together.
